ELECTRICIAN

Summary You will serve as an ELECTRICIAN in Code 730 Maintenance Division Lifting and Handling Department 700 of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD. Responsibilities You will overhaul, install, modify, maintains and repair electronic and electrical components (i.e. control systems, safety devices, motors, voltage and speed regulating equipment, generators, wiring, and circuitry on all types of equipment. You will diagnose (troubleshoot), determine needed repairs, and accomplish the required restorations, with proper documentation, on a variety of electric-powered material handling and weight handling equipment. You will make repairs and electrical adjustments as necessary to ensure OEM, WHEM, and WHI standards are met and that the completed job meets all applicable safety standards.
