Environmental Health and Safety

To provide leadership, mentoring and direction to hourly, salaried and management personnel engaged in Environmental, Health, and/or Safety (EHS) activities related to a facility's programs and plans. Typically manages EHS activities at a large facility or a large portion of a business unit.

Reporting to this position are various levels of EHS staff and support personnel. This position requires management of operations with significant EHS risk. Management responsibilities that add to the complexity of the job may include:

• Title V air permits
• Large wastewater operations
• Significant hazardous waste generation
• Operations with high risk to worker health and safety
• Operations requiring sophisticated health and safety programs and plans
• Coordination/Influence with government agencies and legislative process
