Join Aecon's impactful Arctic Over the Horizon Radar Project as an EHS Advisor. This pivotal role emphasizes safety culture for our innovative infrastructure initiatives.
As part of Aecon’s Civil team, you'll contribute to a national defense project in partnership with Pomerleau and Stantec. Reporting to the EHS Director, you will promote health, safety, and environmental awareness under Aecon’s comprehensive policies. Your proactive approach is essential in fostering an effective safety culture across the project.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate health and safety orientation for staff and clients
• Train employees on safety procedures including WHMIS and emergency response
• Conduct workplace inspections and behavioral observations
• Develop safety plans, including emergency evacuations and traffic controls
• Liaise with government agencies for audits and inspections
