Dispatch supervisor

Our client is South Africa's largest paper merchant, offering an unrivalled range of paper and packaging products. They are looking for a Dispatch Supervisor to join their team at the Cape Town branch as soon as possible.

JOB DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE: MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage and supervise the dispatch team (drivers, van assistants and forklift operators) to ensure efficient operations Coordinate with drivers and internal stakeholders to facilitate timely and accurate deliveries Handle scheduling, route planning, and load assignments Ensure compliance with safety and delivery regulations Manage logistics, including tracking and tracing shipments Resolve issues related to delivery operations Monitor and report on transportation exceptions Ensure high customer satisfaction through excellent service Train new dispatch team members Implement and review operational policies and procedures EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 Relevant Degree or Diploma will be an added adva...
