Director of Engineering

Position Summary

The Director of Engineering is responsible for the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire & life safety systems, and hotel facilities. The role ensures optimal guest comfort, safety, sustainability, and compliance with local regulations while supporting Sofitel brand standards and Accor engineering guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Engineering Operations

2. Oversee the day-to-day operation of all engineering systems including:

3. HVAC and chiller plant
4. Electrical and lighting systems
5. Plumbing and sanitary systems
6. Fire protection & life safety systems
7. Kitchen, laundry, and BOH equipment
8. Guestroom maintenance
9. Ensure all areas of the hotel are well maintained and fully operational at all times

10. Establish and monitor the Preventive Maintenance Programme (PMP)
