Job Summary
Nursing director assumes 24 hour accountability for the delivery of quality services within the regional hospital(s) by providing leadership and direction to department members, developing and implementing a department quality plan, consistently applying appropriate policies, procedures, protocols, clinical paths and standards of care, participating in the continuous performance improvement activities and, through support and implementation of an educational plan, targeting the continued development of their department staff members. This position requires the ability to assess, treat, care for, understand, and react effectively to the unique needs of the age of the patient population for whom services are provided.

+ Develops department philosophy, annual operational plan, goals and objectives that reflect and support the mission, values, vision and strategic goals of the organization in conjunction with the CNO.
