Job Description
Experience a fulfilling summer as a Day Camp Counsellor at the YMCA's Northside Community Centre in Red Deer. Inspire and engage children aged 3-15 while developing essential leadership skills in a safe, inclusive environment.
This position is a contract from June 18 to August 21, 2026, with varying hours between 7:30am and 5:30pm. You will lead fun and educational activities, ensuring all campers feel included and supported. Relevant educational background is an asset.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and facilitate daily camp programs
• Build relationships to foster camper participation
• Ensure adherence to safety and emergency guidelines
• Maintain thorough records, including sign-in/sign-out
• Liaise professionally with parents and team members
Requirements:
• Must be at least 16 years old
• High school or relevant post-secondary education
• Certification in First Aid & CPR-C is required
