A CVOR Registered Nurse opportunity is available in Webster, TX at a 530+ bed hospital serving the Houston Bay Area. The facility is a Level II Trauma Center and operates an accredited cardiovascular center providing nationally recognized care in the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery of cardiovascular diseases.
The role. The CVOR RN is responsible for applying aseptic technique to maintain a sterile field and assist with cardiovascular surgical procedures, including knowledge of the appropriate prep areas for each procedure type. Prior to surgery, this nurse conducts patient assessments to confirm patient understanding of the planned procedure and leads the perioperative team through a pre-procedure timeout. The role requires strong teamwork and adaptability, with the expectation of serving as a clinical resource to the broader Surgical Services team.
