Customs and Freight Coordinator

Overview

A well-established manufacturing business based in Germiston is looking for an experienced Customs & Freight Coordinator to manage their end-to-end import and export process. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives on keeping shipments moving, negotiating better freight rates, and staying on top of customs compliance.

Responsibilities

• Imports & Exports — Coordinate all raw material, machinery and consumables imports, plus finished goods exports across South Africa and the SADC region. Prepare full export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, airway bills, permits) and track shipments from collection to delivery.
• Freight Management — Source and negotiate competitive rates across air and sea freight, compare FCL/LCL options, manage bookings and vessel schedules, and handle urgent/expedited shipments when needed.
