Customer Services Assistant

This role exists to ensure the borrowing needs of our library customers are met effectively and efficiently. As a front-of-house position, it is often the first point of contact for customers visiting the library and plays a key role in shaping their overall experience with the service. The successful candidate will work closely with customers to understand their information needs, help identify the most suitable materials, and locate and issue resources. This role connects directly with collections and cataloguing staff to ensure resources are easy to find and access, the wider customer service team to maintain consistent standards of service, and the community the library serves by acting as a welcoming, knowledgeable point of contact. Without this role, our Wintec community would lack the guided support needed to navigate the library's resources confidently, making it essential to delivering the library's core purpose of connecting our ākonga and kaimahi with information.
