Cover Supervisor - Portsmouth
Prospero Teaching is recruiting confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in the Portsmouth area. This role involves stepping into the classroom in the teacher's absence, delivering pre‑prepared lesson materials, and ensuring pupils remain engaged and on task.
You will be responsible for maintaining a positive classroom environment, supporting students with their learning, and ensuring behaviour expectations are met.
The Role
- Deliver pre‑prepared lesson content across a range of subjects
- Supervise pupils and maintain classroom routines
- Manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Support students with classroom tasks and engagement
- Work across a variety of subjects as required
- Provide cover for both pre‑planned and short‑notice absences
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
