Cost Engineer - Propulsion Systems

Join a high-impact Propulsion Cost Engineering team supporting a leading global OEM. If you bring deep expertise in manufacturing processes + cost estimation , this role puts you at the center of powertrain cost strategy.

You’ll work across key propulsion systems, including:

• Internal Combustion Engines (engine block, cylinder head, oil pan, casting)
• Develop should-cost models for propulsion components and assemblies
• Analyze manufacturing processes (casting, machining, forging, assembly) to estimate cost drivers
• Benchmark costs using historical data, market intelligence, and design assumptions
• Identify cost reduction opportunities (VA/VE) and support design-to-cost initiatives
• Evaluate make vs. buy scenarios and sourcing strategies
