Job Description
The Cost Manager is responsible for preparing, analyzing, and presenting financial reports that will be reviewed and approved by the Plant Controller and/or Finance Director, ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial information.
Responsibilities
- Prepare weekly inventory and PPV reports.
- Prepare quarterly excess and obsolescence reports (accounting reserve).
- Approve inventory adjustments due to discrepancies, engineering changes, obsolescence, among others.
- Authorize the use of general ledger accounts for manual entries.
- Provide support in the review of ECOs.
- Prepare and analyze month-end journal entries.
- Consolidate and explain financial information during month-end close.
- Prepare and consolidate the annual standard cost.
- Monitor and control manufacturing costs.
