Control room operator

Purpose of the Job

To monitor and control equipment and processes from a B-Class Control Room in a Mineral Processing Environment in terms of compliance with operational procedures and quality assurance requirements.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements Grade 12 (with Mathematics and Physical Science) or NQF 4 Equivalent is essential 3 years working experience in processing plant environment is essential Valid Medical Certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate Competencies Demonstrate knowledge pertaining to basic Health & Safety principles in a workplace Plant knowledge Computer knowledge Knowledge of environmental policies and procedures Operating relevant control room computer system Knowledge of safe work procedures Key Performance Areas Monitors and controls the plant, equipment and processes with assistance from the plant supervisor and field operator to ensure safe, efficient and effective operation.
