CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a Contract Specialist for the F-35 program at NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. Responsibilities You will support the acquisition life cycle, from developing complex, precedent-setting contractual strategies and long-term strategic partnerships to overseeing contract administration for highly specialized procurements. You will serve as the principal contracting advisor to the F-35 program, routinely briefing senior military and civilian leadership (including Flag Officers and SES members) on acquisition strategies. You will be a warranted Contracting Officer with the authority to make binding commitments, lead negotiations for high-value, sole-source contracts with major industry partners. You will apply expert knowledge of a wide variety of contracting methods, including Performance-Based Logistics.
