Job Description
Performs a wide range of manual duties associated with cutting grass, trimming, and clearing weeds and brush. Must be able to operate weed-eaters, edgers, and backpack blowers at various locations throughout the city. Collecting loose leaves during leaf season. Extensive walking is required while picking up litter and cutting grass. Essential Job Functions: Assist the Grounds Maintenance Division in cutting grass and picking up litter Assist the Solid Waste Division in collecting loose leaves during leaf season. Use various hand tools to dig, sweep, and spread materials Load and unload materials, supplies, tools, and equipment daily Extensive walking is required to pick up litter. Other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader, Field Supervisor, Manager of Grounds Maintenance, and the Director or Assistant Director of Public Works.
