Description
• Engineering site inspection on wastewater construction projects for quality control and adherence with applicable provincial standards, engineering design and technical specifications. • Document construction site activities (keeping a detailed daily report log, taking photos, performing survey checks, and recording as-built conditions) and identify and monitor deficiencies. • Provide problem resolution and field solutions with respect to unforeseen construction issues and participate in construction progress meetings.
• Arrange on-site geotechnical investigations and material testing (for concrete, granular materials, and asphalt) and coordinate with Engineering for specialist inspections.
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act on construction sites; ensure proper Ministry and project procedures are followed to ensure public/pedestrian safety.
