Conservation Field Research Technician (Birds)

The Department of Conservation in New Zealand invites applications for a Research Technician role focused on the Critically Endangered Pukunui/Southern New Zealand Dotterel on Rakiura Stewart Island during the upcoming breeding season.

The position is largely field-based and requires extensive field surveys, nest monitoring, data collection and entry, data summarisation and reporting, plus organising field trips in remote, rugged terrain.
