The Band 6 Crisis Team Practitioner plays a key role in delivering rapid, high-quality mental health assessment and intervention for individuals experiencing acute psychological distress. Working within a multidisciplinary crisis or home treatment team, the post holder provides urgent, person‑centred care as an alternative to hospital admission wherever possible.
The role involves conducting comprehensive mental health and risk assessments, developing and implementing crisis care plans, and delivering short‑term therapeutic interventions. Practitioners work in fast‑paced environments, often responding to referrals from A & E, community services, GPs and other agencies, ensuring prompt and safe decision‑making.
