Drive community development forward as a Community Planner I at the District of Kitimat. This full-time role encompasses development permits, public consultations, and policy advising.
In this position, you'll manage development applications while collaborating with key stakeholders. Your work will be guided by the Director of Planning, allowing you to focus on both current and future projects. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential for contributing effectively to the growth and development of Kitimat.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process development permits and zoning applications
• Present planning reports to Kitimat Council
• Conduct research on land use topics
• Liaise with public and various departments
• Represent planning interests in committees

• Degree in community planning or equivalent
