Job Description
The CNC Setup Specialist is responsible for preparing and optimizing CNC machines for production by setting up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces, loading and adjusting CNC programs, and performing first-piece inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, the ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings, proficiency with precision measuring instruments, and a solid understanding of G-code and CNC machining processes.
The specialist also performs routine machine maintenance and maintains accurate production and quality documentation to support efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Machine Setup: Mount, and secure tools, fixtures, attachments, and workpieces on CNC machines.
Program Loading & Editing:
- Load, edit, and adjust CNC programs (G-code) to ensure accurate production sequences.
