Overview

The Professional Nurse Clinical Nurse is responsible for assessment, planning, and implementation of individualized, holistic, person-centered nursing care for patients, families, or community members. The role coordinates patient care within a multidisciplinary health team and utilizes scientifically based nursing theories and processes, treating each patient as a physical, social, and spiritual individual.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist personnel in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care.
• Maintain clear communication with families and health professionals regarding optimal patient care, acting as a patient advocate when necessary.
• Facilitate communication between nursing management and the unit to eliminate patient-care issues.
• Assess, plan, and deliver advanced nursing care in specialized areas following standards, SOPs, nursing theory, and medical direction.
