The Class A Fitter/Welder sets up, operates, and maintains welding equipment to produce high-quality structural welds in a manufacturing environment. This role interprets blueprints and technical drawings, selects appropriate welding techniques and positions, and ensures all welded components meet established quality and safety standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to identify specific welding requirements and ensure proper execution.
+ Set up and operate welding machines, adjusting amperage, voltage, slope, and pulse settings according to job specifications.
+ Inspect welding machines, cables, and all associated equipment to verify proper functionality and safe operation.
