Civil Construction Estimator

Smooth Stone Construction is hiring a Civil Construction Estimator for its South Ogden, Utah team. Smooth Stone is a statewide civil and heavy civil construction firm specializing in design-build grading and excavation, water, sewer, and storm infrastructure for residential and commercial developments, municipal projects, and highway work. This role is focused on horizontal and civil estimating. The estimator will prepare competitive, accurate bids for mass grading, storm drain, sanitary sewer, water main, roadway and highway improvements, private development infrastructure, and public municipal, county, and UDOT projects. The role covers the full estimating lifecycle: quantity takeoffs from civil plans, reviewing specifications and geotechnical reports for scope and risk, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes, developing unit pricing, tracking public bid lettings, attending pre-bid meetings and site walks, and handing off cleanly to project managers and field sup...
