Job Description
Join as a Child and Family Support Volunteer to assist at-risk families with children 0-4. Engage in nurturing activities that promote healthy development while providing essential in-home support.
This in-person role offers ongoing support to parents coping with stress and postpartum challenges. You will help facilitate developmental activities for children while offering emotional assistance and connecting parents with community resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Visit one family weekly, approximately 3 hours
• Actively engage and supervise young children
• Promote developmental learning activities
• Provide supportive conversation with mothers
• Share information about local programs
Requirements:
• Experience caring for infant and toddler age groups
• Understanding of developmental milestones
• Comfort in providing in-home assistance
• Good communication and listening skills
• Vulnerable Sector Screening required, or in progress
