Chief Medical Examiner & Forensic Leadership

Rutherford County seeks a Chief Medical Examiner to lead the Office of the Medical Examiner and Regional Forensic Center. You will oversee forensic staff, perform autopsies, determine causes of death, and ensure evidentiary integrity while serving as an expert witness in court.

You will coordinate with law enforcement, prosecutors, and medical professionals, lead accreditation efforts, and guide mass fatality responses, maintaining safety and compliance throughout.
