About the role
We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chief Marine Engineer on board our longliner FV Janas.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the engineering department, ensuring effective supervision, development, and performance
- Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all vessel machinery and engineering systems
- Oversee planned maintenance, repairs, surveys, and major engineering projects to maintain vessel readiness and compliance
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety and maritime regulatory requirements
- Manage engineering resources, fuel efficiency and spare parts
Requirements
- Marine Engineer Class 4 Certificate of Competency (MEC4)
- Previous experience as an engineer on board a fishing vessel
