Job Description
We are looking for a Chef to join us at HMP Fosse Way in Leicester, a Category C resettlement prison with a capacity of approximately 1,700 inmates.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Catering Manager in delivering catering services and comply with all relevant Health & Safety and Food Safety Regulations, legislation, and guidelines.
- Prepare varied and healthy menus for residents, including special diets, special events, and religious events.
- Keep abreast of trends and developments in the catering industry.
- Prepare food according to the menu and supervise prisoners, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
- Ensure the security and food safety of all foodstuffs, equipment, and infrastructure are maintained during delivery, storage, and distribution within the kitchen area.
- Record and document all relevant paperwork to comply with food hygiene regulations, Health & Safety, HACCP, and company policies.
