Job Description

Spirit of India Restaurant is seeking an experienced and skilled Chef to prepare, cook and present high-quality Indian cuisine. The Chef will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, supervising kitchen operations, maintaining food quality standards, and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Plan and design menus in consultation with management, including traditional Indian dishes, curries, tandoori items, entrees, breads, rice dishes and desserts.
  2. Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes according to restaurant recipes, quality standards and customer preferences.
  3. Marinate, season and prepare meats, seafood, vegetables and other ingredients using appropriate Indian cooking techniques.
