**GENERAL OVERVIEW**
This role is a highly skilled and experienced professional. This role requires a deep understanding of sterile processing principles, regulatory standards, and best practices related to decontaminating, cleaning, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment. The Senior Sterile Processing Technician serves as a technical expert, mentor, and resource for other staff members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and efficient sterile processing services.
**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Serves as a technical resource and mentor for other sterile processing technicians, providing guidance, training, and support. (10%)
+ Assists with the training of new employees. (10%)
+ Independently disassembles instruments and cleans them using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment. (10%)
