What is this job
You own the business results of a furniture category (Living Room, Bedroom, Dining Room, Outdoor). You are responsible for which products are developed, how they are priced, what margin is achieved, and how quickly inventory sells through. This is not a pure buying role. This is a category P&L ownership role.
Key Responsibilities
- Own category P&L including GMV, gross margin, inventory turnover, and net profitability
- Develop and execute 3-year category strategy and product roadmap
- Lead seasonal product development including range expansion and discontinuation
- Approve new product margin targets and sales forecasts
- Maintain a balanced and aesthetically coherent product assortment
- Oversee end-to-end new product development from concept to launch
- Direct go-to-market strategy for each seasonal launch
