Carpenter – Journeyperson

Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking local Journeyperson Carpenters for work at our Hays Ridge School Project in Edmonton, AB.

• Schedule rotation: Monday - Friday
• Benefits and RRSP provided as per collective agreement
• Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities

• Experience working at heights with shoring and gang forms
• Slab and footing formwork with DOKA
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements
• Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and/or other materials
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and/or roof systems
• Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware
