Job Description
Position Summary
Transports students to and from their assigned school (in or out of the division). Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Required)
- Holds a High School Diploma or equivalent (minimum)
- Copy of current DMV driving record
- Must be able to pass an annual physical examination
- Have and maintain certifications in first aid and CPR (adult and child) preferred
- Ability to interact professionally with colleagues, supervisors, and the general public
Responsibilities
- Operates vehicles in compliance with laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Adheres to established schedules to safely pick up, transport, and discharge students.
- Completes and documents pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicle
- Reports any operational defect to the Head Mechanic and Director of Transportation
- Informs children of safety practices
