Job Description
We are actively seeking a Captain to perform towing manoeuvres on tugs, manage a crew, and ensure vessel maintenance management. The position is based in the Port of Kingston, Jamaica.
Responsibilities
- Operate vessels in accordance with the company's practices and those recognized in the industry.
- Manage a crew and promote the company’s health and safety program.
- Oversee the implementation of the company’s maintenance program.
- Ensure sound management of the equipment under his responsibility.
- Participate and support the activities of the Health, Safety and Environment Management System.
Qualifications
- Master 500 Gross Tonnage, Domestic certificate (minimum requirement).
- Valid medical certificate.
- Marine Advanced First Aid training certificate.
- Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience as Tug Captain.
