Job Description
**FUNCTION:**
Performs repair, calibration and modification of the wide variety of complex precision measurement equipment utilized by Government of Kuwait (GOK) agencies.
This discipline includes the following measurement areas: impedance, attenuation, directivity, power, frequency (above 500 MHz), phase, pulse code modulation, VSWR, noise, sensitivity and gain. It encompasses the repair, calibration, or modification of items such as waveguide/coaxial frequency meters, RF signal generators, spectrum analyzers, TACAN test sets, waveguide and coaxial directional couplers, RF power meters, VSWR indicators, slotted lines and other complex RF/microwave equipment. Typically, this knowledge would have been gained by the technician successfully completing a one-year certificate program in electronic technology from an accredited school or equivalent U.S. military training program.
