As a key player in our Prairie operations, you will oversee purchasing strategies for lumber and related products. This role requires proactive management of supplier relationships and inventory levels, ensuring product availability while driving cost efficiencies. Utilize your market insights to inform purchasing decisions effectively and support procurement goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Negotiate supplier terms and manage treated lumber programs
• Validate suggested orders to ensure optimal inventory levels
• Create purchase orders balancing costs and requirements
• Analyze commodity market trends for strategic decisions
• Address supplier confirmations for delivery and shipment accuracy
Requirements:
• 3-5+ years’ experience in purchasing wood products
