Job Description
Bulk Materials Handling (BMH) Design Engineer
We are seeking a Senior / Lead Bulk Materials Handling (BMH) Engineer to join our established BMH department based in Woodlands, Gauteng, with hybrid working arrangements.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for performing and overseeing all aspects of BMH design, including, but not limited to:
Conveyors
Chutes & transfers (including DEM modelling)
Bulk storage arrangements (stockpiles, silos, bins, etc.)
Building and plant layouts on the dry end In addition, you will undertake general mechanical design tasks within the mining and EPCM sectors. This includes 3 D modelling, preparation of technical drawings, and engineering calculations.
As a technical lead, you will manage multiple projects concurrently, from feasibility studies through to execution. You will be responsible for managing BMH resources and collaborating closely with project teams and the wider design office.
