Building Envelope/Science Engineer Group Lead

Role Description The Building Envelope/Science Engineer Group Lead is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Edmonton, AB. In this position, the individual leads a team of building envelope engineers and technologists, overseeing project delivery from concept through construction and commissioning. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include managing building envelope assessments, designing and reviewing details for roofs, walls, windows, and foundations, and performing condition reviews, energy and moisture analysis, and failure investigations. The Group Lead coordinates project schedules and budgets, mentors and develops team members, ensures quality control on reports and drawings, and collaborates with clients, architects, and contractors to provide practical, code‑compliant solutions. The role also involves supporting business development activities, contributing to proposals, and helping shape the strategic direction of the building science practice.
