BOILER MAKER
Job Description
The boiler-maker, encompasses production welding in rebuilding pipes, Fabrication and Quality responsibilities. Duties include welding jobs, maintaining production standards of fabricated string, rebuild of pipes and shock subs, bit grinding and conducting rocktools servicing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Correctly welds pieces of metal together.
Prepares materials for welding, cuts, grinds, and cleans metal.
Utilizes fabrication skills to complete all phases of fabrication.
Provides feedback and input into the fabrication process regarding order of assembly, design, materials and fixtures.
Rebuilds drill pipes by welding tools together.
Able to learn and practice bit grinding.
Ability to learn and repair rocktools such as hammers and bits.
Ability to drive a truck of class C licence and HiAB operation is an added advantage.
