Advance your underground mining career with Barminco Mining as an Underground Charge Up/Blaster at the Red Chris Mine, operating on a 14 days on, 14 days off FIFO schedule. Commit to safety while handling explosives efficiently.
In this role, you will ensure the safe handling, storage, and use of explosives under the guidance of the Shift Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include loading explosives, ensuring safety compliance, and performing routine safety checks. Your skills will be vital to maintaining productive operations and ensuring safety for all team members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Load explosives in blast holes using equipment or manually
• Assemble primer charges with non-electric detonators
• Conduct safety inspections before and after blasting
• Maintain explosive use and magazine logs accurately
• Operate and maintain equipment in optimal condition
