Duties Description Under the supervision of Biologist 3 (Marine), serves as the Hudson River Fisheries Unit Manager, supervising subordinate biologists and other professional, technical, scientific and seasonal staff engaged in fisheries research, assessment, monitoring, habitat conservation, and fisheries management programs. Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates unit activities to ensure accomplishment of Department priorities and compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, grant requirements, and interstate fisheries management obligations.
Develops work plans, establishes program priorities, manages personnel and fiscal resources, and provides technical and administrative oversight for Hudson River fish research, monitoring, and management.
