Behaviour Mentor / SEN TA

A specialist PRU in South Shields is seeking an empathetic and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to support pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.

Many pupils in this setting have experienced:

• Trauma
• Adverse childhood experiences
• School-based anxiety
• Exclusion
• Emotional dysregulation

You will help create a safe environment where pupils can regulate, engage and rebuild confidence in education.

This role would suit candidates from backgrounds in:

• Youth work
• Residential care
• Support work
• Behaviour mentoring
• SEND education
