Job Description
Position Summary
The Barista is responsible for the general operations related to the coffee shop. Responsibilities include interacting with customers in a positive manner, cash handling, drink preparation, food preparation, cleaning work areas, general sanitation, collecting garbage and placing in designated containers, washing dishes as well as the cleaning and safe use of kitchen and coffee shop equipment. As a member of the food and nutrition team, assists in other areas of the department as needed, takes initiative, and leads by example.
Experience
+ Customer service, point of sale system and cash handling experience required. Knowledge of espresso machines and other coffee equipment operations required. Must have interpersonal skills to handle confidential information, sensitive situations, and ability to work with diverse group of people within and outside the organization.
