- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, including artisan, sourdough, whole grain, and specialty breads.
- Measure and mix ingredients following established recipes and procedures.
- Knead, shape, and proof dough to achieve desired texture and consistency.
- Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofing cabinets.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure consistency and quality.
- Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the baking area in compliance with food safety standards.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); formal training in baking or culinary arts (a plus).
- Previous experience as a baker or in a commercial bakery setting (preferred).
