About the Role
Reporting to the Light Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor, the Automotive Technician (Light Vehicle Mechanic) is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the light vehicle fleet and mine equipment used at the site. This is a full‑time hourly position that offers an attractive 4x4 schedule consisting of days and nights.
The position is site-based at our operations in the Elk Valley, and the ability to reliably commute to or relocate near Sparwood, B.C. is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
- Maintain and repair light vehicles and other light duty equipment
- Identify warrantable repairs and process documents for repair orders
- Perform routine preventative maintenance such as inspections, lubricating, oil changes, and failure analysis
