Serves as liaison between Department of Rehabilitation and school systems to handle student assistive technology needs.
Provides assistive technology consultation and assessment to students.
Develops a written assistive technology report, including specifications on recommend AT intervention.
Document work in case management databases, timesheets, and paper files.
Works with school staff, ADRS counselors, and when necessary rehab engineers, to implement the assistive technology recommendations to meet the student’s needs. Provides set-up, fitting, training, and technical support on AT devices.
Participates in quality improvement and quality assurance activities, and provides guidance, information, and assistance on assistive technology services.
Markets assistive technology services to schools and other agencies.
