Job Description

Responsibilities and Certifications 

  • To assist the Purchasing Manager to provide a service that exceeds the expectations of our internal and external customers.
  • Perform activities of Purchasing in relation to OFP
  • Assist in spot buys of prime materials and back up to Purchasing Manager as required.
  • Prioritize orders and coordinate with Sales orders of importance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with current and new suppliers.
  • Negotiate prices if applicable or report and maintain prices with OFP suppliers. 
  • Communicate any critical supplier information to senior management.
  • Modify P. O’s for cost details, specifications etc.
  • Handle order changes at all OFP suppliers
  • Expediate orders when necessary
  • Maintain open order status.
  • Provide information to the administration group as necessary i.e., Corrections to inventory, pricing logistics etc.
