This post supports Specialist Public Health Practitioners to deliver the Healthy Child Programme for 0‑19 year olds.

Main duties of the job

The Healthy Family Team works in partnership with other agencies to deliver care and interventions to children, young people and families. The team is led by the Specialist Public Health Practitioners (SPHP), with support from the skill mix colleagues in working with 0‑19 year children and young people within a defined geographic area.

Working with under‑age 5 will include breastfeeding support, completing mandated developmental reviews, and supporting the team to meet their Key Performance Indicators. The interventions for school‑aged children include supporting children and young people aged 5‑19 with emotional health and wellbeing needs in schools and other community settings.
