Application Engineer, Amazon Gift Cards

This role is part of the rekindle returnship program. The role offers an opportunity to tackle complex technical challenges, work with diverse customers worldwide, and engage in a dynamic, varied work environment. You will be required to deeply understand the technology landscape and evaluate the use of new technologies. As an influential member of the team, you will collaborate with peers and senior leaders to define and refine the standards for operational excellence across Amazon Payment Products. You will consistently address abstract issues spanning multiple functional areas, driving your team to pursue scalable improvements across other teams, services, and platforms.

Key job responsibilities
• A technical background (BS/MS in Computer Science/Engineering or related discipline/experience)
• 2+ years experience
• Strong Unix base O/S experience or proven ability to pick up Linux quickly
