Job Description
Lead the Nantaii radio program as Announcer/Operator at CBC North in Yellowknife. Connect with the Gwich’in community through engaging storytelling and interviews, while promoting Indigenous language and heritage.
This permanent role focuses on broadcasting Gwich’in language content. Your key tasks include researching, preparing, and presenting interviews with language speakers and learners. You'll also pitch stories, book guests, and conduct community relations to ensure program relevance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and prepare engaging broadcast material
• Conduct interviews with community members
• Maintain contacts with diverse sources
• Provide continuity between on-air segments
• Archive programs and scripts systematically
